The desert, as we experience it, reveals its magical depths slowly and carefully — as if to test your patience. The more you discover, the more you understand how little you truly know.
Dror BaMidbar started out in the Negev, the friendliest desert in the world, in 2011. Since then we have walked hand in hand with the desert and with the unique experiences it has to offer. In 2011 we brought sandboarding to Israel for the first time — an activity that was, and still is, our flagship attraction.
Our years in the Negev also taught us the ingredient most needed to complete a desert experience — food. Dror BaMidbar is a vegan and kosher business (we hold a kosher certificate), and everything is served in the heart of the desert.

Important before you book
Inside the sandboarding site every person who arrives requires a full ticket — including companions who do not ride. This covers shade capacity, insurance and site use.
Children under the age of two — free of charge.
A session runs with a minimum of 4 participants. If we do not reach it, we will contact you to reschedule or fully refund.

Do non-riding companions pay?
Yes. Anyone entering the site requires a full ticket due to shade capacity, insurance and site use. Children under two are free.
Who is it suitable for?
Men and women, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, families or hi-tech companies — Israelis from all over the country and tourists from around the world. Everyone will find their place.
What happens in summer heat?
In summer months slots shift to early morning and late afternoon. If temperature or wind exceed the safety threshold the slot is held or cancelled with a full refund.
What gear do I need?
A hat, closed shoes, sunscreen and water (3 litres per person in summer). We bring the riding gear and the shade.
